Why I left my corporate job

Liz Lenz Passion Lead Us Here

For all intents & purposes, I had the perfect job leading coaching & advisor productivity at my broker-dealer. I loved my boss, my team was fun to work with, and, in many ways, I had the ability to collaborate with professionals inside and outside the organization. In the years and months leading up to finally resigning, I dreamed of hanging up my own shingle... but many good reasons kept me from taking the risk. Whether it was being on the verge of a promotion, in the middle of building something I cared about, or even planning a wedding, I came up with great reasons. Ultimately, after the birth of my first child, our family dynamics were quickly changing, my best friend and partner was moving his business to the RIA space, and I got back to work after my maternity leave. Many women will tell you things change after you have your first child and I was a perfect example. I loved the work I do and I had to make sure every moment of my day was building and growing something I was obsessed with. With my creative energy flowing and my analysis of time keeping me up at night, I asked myself, "If not now, when?" So here I am. Throwing my passions, knowledge, and excitement for what could be into this new venture. Thank you for being curious enough to explore this ride with me and hopefully, we will get to work together soon.

Fortune favors the bold. Let's be bold together.
